Partner and son sent home for 14 days

My partner and my son were sent home on Monday to self isolate for 14 days. I've been on holiday since Monday, so where do i stand, do i ring the office and explain what has happened to them and do i have to self isolate as well even though i feel ok.

Heed the advice from the goverment, if just one relative in your household may have the virus, then you too self isolate.

Would i get sick pay as royal mail didnt officially send me home or would it be a case of getting ssp.

Just be careful what you say when you phone in.
You are following Government advice and self isolating due to suspected coronavirus.
You are NOT seeking time off for dependants to care for your partner and son.

I was basically going to phone in to tell them my partner was sent home to self isolate due to a high temp and coughing and that my son who works in the same place had also been sent home due to living in the same house.

You don't technically need to tell them anything about your partner or son, just that you're self isolating due to suspected coronavirus in your household following official advice.

It really depends on how much trust you have in your particular managers not to be dicks.
