Long story short. Been off with stress and depression and also had a foot operation over Christmas. So now on a stage 2. But the misses was Ill last week with sickness and diarrhoea and tonsillitis. Well I started with sickness and diarrhoea on tuesday and had a fever. Diarrhoea stopped the same day but been sick on and off all week and my temp keeps going up and down. But today got sore throat still feel sick (not been sick) and temp of 38.2. I think its tonsillitis but nhs 111 says self isolate but don't want too trigger and stage 3. So getting stressed over it. Edit I also feel really tired and lethargic

I would seek clarification from my manager - If the response was that a stage 3 would be triggered for following government advice, I’d be quite honest and say that, in that case, I will be attending work and that it might be in his or her best interests to make contingency plans should I end up spreading Coronavirus throughout the office and beyond. Also, don’t push yourself too far; make it clear that you'll be working at a different pace to normal if you think it'll affect your ability to complete.

RM is not going to sack anyone who is ill at the moment, if the media get hold of they would be crucified, and im not sure it would even be legal right now. If youve been told to isolate, then isolate.

Just rang my rep and he said ring manager up Monday let them know and it won't trigger a stage 3. But if they do try it we will cross that bridge when it comes. :hmmmm

if you have the covid symptoms the manager would be putting himself in the firing line if he even allowed you into work. so phone him, and ask if he gives you time off tell him can he give you it in writing that you won't be staged.

The most important thing is YOU, and then everybody else, and then the business, in that order. Get well soon!

Make sure you can get a test and confirmation that you have Covid-19. Then you can have evidence that you were off for that reason if you are attacked unfairly with stage 3 threats.

Trouble is they have given up this unless you are admitted to hospital so if as of today we have 1140 and 21 deaths and conducted 25000 tests with probably 10 to 20 thousand infected the best guess on your part is that no f****r wants your job and the way the death rate is increasing no one will do your job!

Rang 111 up this morning and they got a doctor too ring me back. He says it sounds like tonsillitis so has given me a prescription for antibiotics. But because my temperature is high I need to self isolate for a week. Misses wasn't happy she had to go to my local A&E this morning too pick up my prescription :left:. Will give you an update on how work tackles the situation asap :thumbup
