Should we be allowed to refuse to knock doors - we have no idea if the person on the other side of the door is contagious or not.

If someone is off work self isolating they are isolated from everyone besides us.

We shouldnt be putting ourselves at risk - especially given that if we do contract something off a customer, we will be inevitably passing it to other customers before its too late.

It's seriously time to start disinfecting our pda's and signing for things on the customers behalf with their consent. I know I'm gonna start doing that, official policy or not.

For a company in such close contact with the public the official information (or lack of) provided by RM is dire. I haven't heard a single peep from management in my office.

Now that things are getting more serious I would have thought us now signing for the customer would be allowed and would expect this to be announced.

We probably have 1 million+ people touching these PDAs everyday.

Sometimes people come to the door looking like death with a discoloured snotty tissue in their hand.

There is nothing in our office, no hand gel,wipes and even toilets are low on handwash. We are a big office. Few people have refused to sign PDa on duty . Why arnt we given gloves or supplied anything for protection? Its hard walking round for 4 hours without touching your face once.

Guys i know it shouldnt be this way but for your own protection provide your own gloves/wipes/hand gel ( if you can find any (screwfix/toolstation) )as its your health your looking after.

I am taking my own precautions. I shouldn't have to, but I'm not going to risk getting infected just because I think that RM should be paying for wipes, hand gel etc.

well to add from today i asked my union rep to tell the managers to supply us hand wash hand sanitiser gloves whatever we need i got laughed at its nothing to do with him managers tell me rm cant get hold of this stuff how big is rm this comes down to cost imo it will come down to the usual to little to late the company is a disgrace they will end up having to shut down offices and mc just because they wont act now
