It's reached my town too. Luckily on Friday I went and got myself a few bottles of hand sanitizer before the panic buying set it. No good relying on RM to put any thing in place, don't even supply suncream or plasters.
A manager ordered some boxes of latex gloves then promptly locked them away.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

They will notice it when their own management go down with it.

What's the situation if this really did get worse and you want to self isolate until the pandemic clears. If you wanted say 2 or 3 months off, Some of us have underlying health problems. I have high blood pressure and am in my 50's so in a high risk group. I'd not expect them to pay me of course but could I expect to have a job to come back to?

French are now telling their people not to greet by kissing / handshaking....

About time RM told us to sign for customers....... instead of letting 10+ people a day touch the PDA.....get it down to 2 people.

They can't afford to have us all going off sick.

I'm in two minds about this. 1 If I had it and management harassed me too come into work. I would gladly walk into the office coughing and sneezing. Would serve them right and I'll have zero sympathy if the got I'll. 2 the only thing that will stop me doing it is I won't want too infect my fellow posties. Would be interesting though if the whole office self quarantined :left:

Oh yes pda's can be minging at the best of times ! The number of occasions when someone comes to the door and you have just heard the toilet flush going in the background !! Doesn't bear thinking about. Also colleague at work who enter the loos and don't wash hands - mingers !!

Also the guys who have returned to work after allegedly being off ill. You know the false cough, no hands/tissues, it sounds louder like that so they think it's more effective to try & justify their 'no show'.

So RM advice is if you start to show symptoms of this virus to just maintain hygiene! Not, Please stay home and self isolate as per government advice!

They also seem to completely ignore the fact that the biggest risk to us is not from the packets and letters themselves but from exposure to the general public. Who they themselves could end up self isolating and ordering things online. Which in turn would lead to the risk to the general public from ourselves if we became infected.

This country is f****d if this is the attitudes from our leaders.

All the PDAs in our office have no stylus’s customers have to sign The screen with their fingers.
