It has been quieter for a while but as a general rule there is not duty time available to prep the D2Ds.
Then you ask for overtime if you can't complete on time but a row a day takes 10-15mins to prep.
A row a day! We are told D2D MUST be in the frame on a Saturday ready for delivery on Monday.
So do you (or other posties in the office) have time within your duty hours on a Saturday to prep D2D's into frames (obviously without going into OT)?
If yes, then that's reasonable (but the putting the whole frame in seems excessive).

No doubt the management are then using the time allocated to prep D2D's for sorting/prep/delivery the next week, saving themselves time/money
off their budget. Do you get regular WTLL or is that time used for delivery as well?

I prep and deliver 1/6th of D2Ds everyday and book the overtime it generates as my duty does not have the scope to absorb them.

Eggs zackly. Do the job proper. Book extra. Or argue the toss every day.

i personally think since they scrapped the payment by weight we as an whole get more £'s
regardless of the arguments that we don't get paid for them anymore we usually assume we do via the delivery supplement that started the week after d2d payments stopped, i always say we don't get paid for them anymore
for someone FT with 5 weeks leave it's £125 per year without lifting a finger and i do think we get less than when a weight payment and some duties can go 2 weeks without any then just 1 lot, obviously PT staff are pro rata
my bugbear is the completely utter inept line managers who cannot see those who are struggling to complete them, a floating manager once told me they don't assess them when working out their times and it's averaged out by the total volume of d2d in the d/o, therefore those with none get an extra 15/20 mins prep time whilst those with 4 get shafted
it's not rocket science to tell postperson A to go help postperson B for 10 minutes and balance it out
