Hi
I went for an interview at the start of the month and received an email saying that I hadn't got the job as there were higher scoring candidates but that I had passed the interview and would now be on the waiting list for 3 months. There is no link on the email to send applications to via the waiting list though and I can't see anything on my profile page to say that I am on a waiting list. The email just said to apply for any future jobs as normal and ignore the automated email for the online test and then I would be considered along with other waiting list applicants.
The very next week another job came up in the same office so I applied as normal and ignored the online test email but I still haven't heard anything a week later and the job is no longer being advertised.
The problem is, another job has now come up in my local office which I would like to apply for so do I just withdraw my application for Bradford and apply for the local job and would I then have to do the online test and interview or does being on the waiting list apply for all postperson jobs at any office?
Like I say though, there is nothing on my profile to say I am on any waiting list anyway and the email says I can withdraw from the waiting list on my profile but i can't see how i would do that.
Does anyone has any advice on this please?
Thanks a lot.

Email myapplication@royalmail.com each time after you`ve applied for another job and send them a link for the jobbs you applied for.
Also tell them your name and that you have been placed on the waiting list on the xx date.
Email`s title should be Waiting List Candidate so they know what you on about.
Good luck.

You can apply to different DO's without having to re do the online tests.
I had about 6 open applications at 3 different office's. Sometimes you will be told that you haven't been successful and other times the position will just remain open on your applications.

I was told by HR that when the application closes they get a printout of all applicants and it shows all the people who are on the waiting list.
It is pot luck if you get picked as there could be any number of names to pick from for 1 vacancy.
I applied for about 6 jobs while on the waiting list before i got one.
