41 Recorded Deliverys+ 8 Special Deliverys
Thats what i had on a walk i done today
Went in on my rest day and picked up a duty on docket, not my own walk, one that none of our reserves picked this week ,so a few of us have been going in on our rest days.Anyway i was throwing off the mech bundles first and came across 6 or7 R/Ds in one of them, noticed they were all from the same sender, carried on throwing off and more started to appear
,all first class, by the time i had thrown off i had a bundle of R/Ds on top of the frame
time for a count up
41of the feckers,38 from the same company all going to 4 blocks of yuppie flats,no doubles
Went to the RLE to get my Reg
,8 waiting for me there
Went to the manager and asked her what the score was
Did i have to take them all?No half
did i have to get signatures?Yes of course you fool
So off i went,29 items to get signatures for
Got rid of 2 of the bulk R/Ds they were new parking permits,4 of the reg,and 2 of the other R/Ds,ended up with 21 739s
Finished a lot later then i wanted to,and it was fecking freezing.Hope the bloke on it tomorrow has better luck with the 19 i left him
Can anyone beat that?

Yes, I used to work for AnPost in Ireland, got 61 recorded one day. Aparrently, over there, if you object to some planning permission, everyone gets an acknowledgment by Recorded, so if a load of neighbours object to summat, the postie's banjaxed. Thankfully, a couple of the night lads did it on OT and I just got on with the normal stuff.

Well those numbers are chicken feed boys! There was once a dispute about planning to an area to which I delivered which involved the County Council, and of the 608 drops there was more than 550 Recorded Deliveries, all A4. I asked the DOM if it was necessary to get a signature and he said YES, the pillock. It wasn't just my delivery though, the whole of the area about 6 deliveries were involved.
Anyway, this was before the 3.5 hour delivery, and my all up time was 11.50 and I was still in the office at 9.30 - so I took 140 drops calculating that 1 minute per knock/739 would be it - and it was.
A manager was sent out to check on me because the DOM said he thought I was taking the pee - well I was 10 minutes over and went back to the office to book it. It took 4 other posties to complete the delivery on overtime. Somebody had cocked up by accepting Recorded on that scale and I was buggered if I was going to pull their nuts out of the fire.
