What's your complaint?
Not liking the way someone does the job isn't a sound basis for a grievance.
Are you forced to work overtime?
All the jobs in our office have been rejigged and evened out. The job im on ALWAYS used to finish at midday without fail on any day. An extra street with 60 houses each has been added, and now it seems impossible to complete by 2pm * an extra 2hrs for 60 houses? I just want to complete and go home because everyone whos done it has been able to complete except this one person who has only now decided to slow right down.

I don't even understand how this happens in the first place. Surely within weeks of a walk being put together the managers and posties will realise if a walk is too short or too long and the managers should even things out.

Is there a massive distance between each house on that street? What makes that street take 2 hrs to do?

Terrace houses, it doesn't take two hrs to do properly, this is how much longer my partner is making the 'original' round last so 'they haven't got time' to do it, hence the grievance. Id sooner finish the 'original' round at midday as per and do the extra in the half hr it actually takes.

You don't have a leg to stand on.
As far as I can make out you want to take out a grievance against a member of staff because they're stopping you from finishing early.

That's not going to fly in any business.

Not after early dart.

Round in past (1000 delivery points) is finished at 1200pm.
Same round at present(1000 delivery points) ( with threat of extra) suddenly partner finished at 2pm to 'prove' no more can be added
Round with added ( what i want to do 1120 delivery points) finished at 1pm latest.

Surely the historical pda data will back me up to show that there is plenty of scope for the extra to be added and completed in plenty of time and my partner is in the wrong?

There are the many types of Posties in the office.

Those who come in early, an hour early - why, for the love of god, why? people want to work for free?

(Everything in-between)

Those who want to finish as early as possible and 'run' around, take every shortcut possible, then either sit in the van or go home for a cup of tea before going back to the office.

I'll never understand either of these types of Posties, both types baffle me.

Why do you care? It is up to the managers to care about that. Seems like you have a nice, easy break with him. I would love that but unfortunately rounds are too long at my office.

Best thing you can do is accept that you’re working your hours and not care what you do during those hours.

It's a hangover from job and finish posties rushing to see how quick they could get round/early they could get finished.

RM will use it against you, so just work to your time at a more reasonable pace.

I was actually thinking of putting a grievance in against my partner as he has bad breath and his dress sense is terrible... :chuckle

Why am i in the wrong? i want to work all my hours and get the extra ( that the round can easily take ) done. My partner wants to artificially slow me down so they can get out of extra work? Surely its the lazy twat thats in the wrong?
