You are obviously entitled to your opinion but I would rather you voted Yes because you think the deal is acceptable. A vote yes to avoid further IA is not a strong reason. Also I am for voting NO and I don't believe we will strike before Christmas, in fact I think New Year is most likely.

Some of the boys in my office are also of the same opinion as me it's ok for all the single people who stay with parents.
I know I am short sighted but it is my choice, correct or not. Each to your own.

Why not join here to help prepare for what will happen if, God forbid, RM get the "YES" vote they want.

Of course, everyone else CAN afford to strike at Christmas. We're all rolling in cash. None of us have kids or mortgages or bills to pay. We all think a fifty hour week next Christmas is a fine idea, and as for covering sick absence or annual leave for no extra pay: it's great, and we're all really looking forward to doing it.
By the way Rolf, if you tolerate this, then your children will be next, and when they're working for a slave driving sweater who is determined to get the most work from them for the least amount of pay, you'll be able to tell them exactly who is to blame, and it won't be those of us with the bottle to fight for better conditions now.

I don't think there would be any strike before Christmas. I like Christmas - and I wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone. Nor would most people I know. And of course everyone, including Union officials, will want a day or two off work to spend with their families at Christmas. Industrial action takes a lot of organising, and if started before Christmas it might run into the holiday and beyond. Better to start in the New Year when the timescale can be open-ended. So you're safe to vote no if the idea of strikes before Christmas is all that worries you.

all you'll get is pressure and trench warfare . In one previously nationalized industry we'd two years of trench warfare . Eventually some of the companies decided to actually work with the three main unions .
One Union capatalized on it , people just went to better companies . The Tory idea failed .

I myself can only see that their should be a strike before christmas, For i am sure you are a nice postwoman with goodness at heart. But this is a war to the end we did not after D DAY say sod it for the rest of 1944 because christmas is comeing up let's go home lot's have suffered and continue to do so at least no one to my knowledge has died in this campaign and let's hope it shall remain so!. FOR CHRISTMAS COME'S BUT ONCE A YEAR ONE HARD CHRISTMAS FOR MANY BETTER ONE'S THAT IS HOW IT WAS LOOKED ON IN 1944 AND HAS COME TO PASS SINCE!.

You wouldn't be striking at Christmas. The old ballot for industrial action is now void and a new ballot for action would be needed. The earliest action would probally be after Christmas.
