Good news!! (NOT)
Its unlikely we will get a christmas deal at our office this year BUT it has been confirmed to me that we will at least get our D2Ds to deliver over the festive period this year
A first for our office.

I suppose it was bound to happen Ed. Do you remember when they used to stop delivering rebate for the fortnight before Christmas? Not these days. It's all got to go. How else would the screws get their bonuses?Edward Hunter wrote:Its unlikely we will get a christmas deal at our office this year BUT it has been confirmed to me that we will at least get our D2Ds to deliver over the festive period this yearA first for our office.

The thing is alot of people at our place dont do there own D2Ds at the best of times. The 2 fellas that do them for the other posties are unlikely to want to do them during christmas pressure. Some hate D2Ds with a passion. Me? i do my own. I am far too poor to turn down that generous 1.67 p i get for each item.
IWW. I thought they did still stop alot of mailsort during christmas pressure? Do you remember back not so long ago when there was f**k all mail between christmas and new year. I dont know where half the crap comes from nowadays. Theres tons of it. L+C make me laugh when they keep comming out with the fact mail volumes are dropping by 2.5% per year. There was something on the news a couple of months ago, saying the UKs population is likely to increase by about 15 MILLION over the next 20 years. None of them will get any mail will they!!! Bloody Jokers.

Ive been a postie for 5 years and where i live the population and number of new houses has vastly increased
and the number of posties decreased signifcantly, like you say though these people never get any mail
