Was expecting the worst today being the Weds after Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but not too bad really, just a typical heavy Wednesday.

I haven't done too badly this week but some of the walks in our office have been well and truly battered. Got home at 430 today & my local postie hadn't got to my house yet

Yesterday was fairly normal, today was the worst I've seen so far. Tomorrow and Saturday will likely be equally dire.

I don't know what offices you guys are working in but we can't move for packets. Yesterday we failed about a dozen yorks worth and today there's even more. They can't cope even though they have agency doing them in the afternoons. It's great when we tell the linos we're not touching the bg packets every morning though.

Hammered again today, got back at 1630 and was asked if I could go out again and do parcels. Don’t know how those duty holders got away with not taking them as I had to take mine out. I might be a mug :arrrghhh but I declined.

Probably the busiest day ever at Royal mail? Packets driver took a york of biggies and was still 6.30 finish (on my own). Passed a few guys still out while driving home. How is it they give huddles on bad weather warnings like watch out for wet leaves .......but expect you to deliver in pitch darkness? Wouldn't be as bad if they provided head torches.

Must be outward mail. All iLSMs (and IMPs probably as well) have an "emergency" sort plan which just sorts down to office level.

We Posties on the Front Line really look forward to getting Mech that hasn't been sorted ..... Makes our Day because we haven't got enough to do. Reminds us of the "Good Old Days" When we had to sort ALL the mail manually. :dance Mind you in those days we only had to go out on a bike and Deliver for 3 1/2 hours. :cuppa

It's down to whether they're allowed to roll over any left-overs to the next day. If they aren't then any left-overs will get sent as manual to the DOs
