Royal Mail’s latest Quality of Service report reveals that the Company has exceeded its annual regulatory Quality of Service targets for First and Second Class mail, for the first half of the financial year 2019-20.

During the first half of the year leading up to 29 September 2019, Royal Mail delivered 93.3 per cent of First Class mail the next working day against a regulatory target of 93 per cent. The Company delivered 98.8 per cent of Second Class mail within three working days against a target of 98.5 per cent.

Royal Mail is the only UK mail delivery company required to publish Quality of Service performance against delivery targets every quarter. It has one of the highest Quality of Service specifications of any major European country.

Roger Turvey, National Quality and Customer Director, Royal Mail said: “We are delighted to have exceeded both our First Class and Second Class Quality of Service regulatory targets for the first half of the financial year. Our postmen and women work extremely hard to deliver high standards of service every day to all our customers across the UK.”

Royal Mail’s Quality of Service is measured by Kantar, an independent market research company. The latest independent report on performance was published today on Royal Mail’s website at: https://www.royalmailgroup.com/customer ... ce-reports" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Our latest Quality of Service report for First and Second Class USO mail reveals that we have exceeded both our First and Second Class targets in the first half of the 2019-20 financial year.
  • We delivered 93.3% of First Class mail the next working day, against a target of 93%
    We delivered 98.8% of Second Class mail within three working days against a target of 98.5%.
This covers the two quarters 1 April – 29 June 2019 and 30 June – 29 September 2019.

Roger Turvey, national quality and customer director, said: ‘We are delighted to have exceeded both our First and Second Class Quality of Service targets in the first two quarters of the year. This is testimony to the hard work of colleagues across the pipeline to maintain and drive up quality.

‘Things are going to get more challenging now that our peak period and the winter months are ahead of us. If we can keep this momentum going, we will be able to meet our full year target for the first time in three years. Everyone can help by focusing on safe and on-time delivery of each and every letter and parcel.’
