cwu the final insult

Post by jafferpants »

Just recieved a certificate from union HQ. It reads "Thank you for over 25 years loyal membership to th union." They are right about one thing. It is over 25 years 15 years over. how desperate is that just when it looks like they are about to go tits up they send out this grovelling piece of s**t. Almost 40 years in the job and iv'e never had sweet fa then just when they've dropped the biggest bollock in cwu history this lands on the doorstep. Do they honestly think this will change anyones opinion of them.Anybody else had one!!!!! :evil/mad :evil/mad

Probably hoping to secure your loyal membership for the next 40years given the impending pension reform, could be worse than we think!

They have been coming for 2 years now!

Motion was carried at annual conference.

They used to be sent to branches but i think most ended up in the branch secs drawer so they started to post them.

So if you are unhappy with them blame the branches who proposed / supported motion ha

To be honest, it would mean more to me than the Royal Mail long service crap. Another 12 years and I too will have a '25 Years' certificate to mark my 40 years in the job.

Haven't got one either, despite 27 years in RM and the CWU. Suppose I'll have to wait another 12 years till I get mine too, by which time I'll be retired (unless RM raise the retirement age to 70 before then).

28 years a member and I've not got one either. It's all done randomly - if it was thought out this would be an appreciated gesture but it picks a few and ignores many.
