You didn't lose your job = Win

They took you off driving responsibilities = Win

Obviously if you wanted the opportunity to pick up OT then it kinda sucks and two years does seem fairly harsh but im happy RM are taking our health and safety seriously now. Il be waiting for them to dish out some punishments for people carrying overweight bags and not using the LWT's! Funny how we're reminded to wear our belts, wear correct footwear, wear our high viz etc but never to use the lWT.

Expected a penalty , as I was guilty of offence but removal from driving duties is harsh imo.
Plus I believe there is nowhere in conduct code that permits additional " removal " from drive duties !
Thoughts gents
Until they're desperate for a driver.........
True.

What would happen however if you refused to drive? Or at least insisted on having it in writing that your removal from driving duties has now been officially rescinded?

Yet we let liar off the hook by deceiving a nation with nothing but a tut and a wink for saying we pay £350 million a week to the EU I guess telling lies to a nation is OK while not wearing some equipment that has dubious reputation in saving lives gets a harsher penalty for his own personal safety than someone who is paid by the state to represent us in high office something stinks to high hell double standards!
If posties have three blameworthy RTCs within a certain time period of each other they are taken off driving for two years. This is a standard repremand now within RM. I realise it isn't the same as not wearing your seatbelt but wearing a seatbelt is required by UK law as well.
Regarding the claim by Boris that we could spend an additional 350 million pounds per week on the NHS if we left the EU this is not actually a lie but just something that they could in theory do but they would more likely spend a percentage of that figure per week. We currently pay nearly 18.5 billion pounds into the EU which divided by 52 weeks is about 350 million pounds. Some of the 18.5 billion is rebated back to us and some is spent by the EU as they see fit on the UK. This is where the 350 million figure comes from .

What has that got to do with not wearing a seatbelt?

This nation deserves nothing lest than the truth about the EU lies will not be tolerated by us for factions of the conservative party for the behest of their own prospects. Yet we are hold to laws set by those that espouse breaking the laws of our nation and most of these laws are European Laws as such is every law since 1974. One of which was the wearing of seat belts this is just one law since the last 45 years this is just one of millions of laws it would take us 50 years to put in statute a law of our own in all these matters. Yet some on here and in the Conservative party one in the same believe we can just walk away without anything happening and get a deal of sorts with the USA and that's all because they only deal through them good deal then. As for the Original Poster he said he was worried about his position in the business this is a fact as they want to reduce headcount he is lucky but someone so petty for pulling him up is no more deserving of a bonus as that of an merchant banker without a portfolio capitalism has earned its own dirty word!

Since when have politicians ever told the truth on any political side. Lying or should I say being economical with the truth is part of an MPs entrance test into parliament isn't it.

Went and loaded my van then cos it was clear got in van reversed in to space then drove forward a bit in yard then stopped to put my seat belt on then realised still locked in but by that time the health and safety management saw the belt now I am going to a conduct interview never been in trouble before, got kids and one on way bit nervous now.

These health a safety guys are a joke. Seen people pulled for not having the useless dog peg, not wearing high vis on roasting hot day, or not carrying a bag despite having small bundle of mail in case they come across a dog. Yet they refused to inspect my shoes when I asked them (manager refusing new shoes), said take it up with manager.
Got their own agendas.
In all seriousness though, the fact you never even left yard and have a reasonable explanation should be enough. But wouldnt put anything past them though.
Good luck.

Thanks. I know one rule just to justify themselves. He took a pic and sent it to my managers manager otherwise it would of been dealt with.

They hire you then spend the next 30 plus years trying to find ways to sack you.

Local managers don't have any say with uniform issuing, the authorising of uniform orders is done by a regional or nation manager (can't remember which). Even a uniform order placed by a local manager can get partly or completely refused

Having shoes with half the sole missing you would think qualifies as a health and safety issue. But when you order online, email also gets sent to your Dom,as they too have to authorise the order. Its a stupid rule, where you cant get more than 2 pairs in any one year. Even though they rarely last that long.
