Must admit it was quite enjoyable watching all the ones who are on cushy walks do a bit of proper work the same as the rest of us have to do every day...
Slightly off topic.

There was a lassie at our place who had a really cushy walk, would always be the last out of the office and always one of the first back in...usually about 2pm (we finish at 3pm), always pissing about talking to her mates in the DO. My mate did her duty one Saturday and said he wasn't running around, took a break...finished at 11.50am.

They sent him back out on another duty.
Surprised that the DOM hasn't looked into permanently lapsing her duty if she's finishing that early. Is there a duty that backs onto the area covered by her duty which goes over a lot that could have some of it's DPs taken off it and added to her duty?

She's the lino's best mate. Her frame is next to the line managers desk. Her duty is also ring-fenced so she can never have it took off of her because....wait for it...she has 'an injury'.

Said injury doesn't stop her kick-boxing three times a week and smoking like a trooper. Lassie who's line manager doesn't bat an eyelid because they're best mates. Other best mate has got a piss easy duty also. She, however, can lose that in a rechoose because she's not as far up lino's arse as kick-boxing girl is.

Said lino's neice has also been at RM for has got full uniform, badge, driving and a full-time duty. She's been there a year. I was there two years and never got driving, a badge (an identification for God's sake) or a FT duty. Nepotism is alive at RM.

Quietest I've ever known it this year, in all my time in the job. We are still adjusting from losing the Amazon parcels in our office, but it is ridiculous here. Even yesterday was dead.

Doesn't it get quieter significantly after new year?
Err. No. As a rule. If we strike and lose business, maybe.

Do you not have long and shorts? I claim more on Tuesday than a Wednesday generally as I have 1hr 25 longer on the Wednesday than Tuesday.

Wish we could lose Amazon. Seems about 25% of our biggies ATM.

Does her duty have to be ringfenced because she's a kickboxer?? :Very Happy
From experience Royal Mail tend to turn a blind eye to these things. If you get on well with your lino they dont pick on you for doing extra work or anything trivial really. Justsayit used to be a good channel to go through if they did.

in our office we have generally had a rule that its the rough with the smooth, we have never minded going over our times on a wednesday if we finish early on a tuesday, and our boss has been happy to go along with that......until now.
