Yes we were asked today - No I am not signing it.
They must be expecting a busy Christmas
and may want to get people in for longer than 48 hours a week.

Not playing that game again ?? , what made me laugh once ,was Sheffield sending a pay advice they should have sent 4 weeks ago and would I by the way I care to sign a "voluntary" opt out form , which I'd already had a letter about .star dust wrote:Hello anybody asked to sign a opt out form? why are the gaffers in a hurry to get them back?
Done all that "you CAN go home after 14 hrs" in Security, nonsense .Once bitten twice shy !
There's obviously pressure from on high & :lfo & :cfo have "plans"
for everyone .
There's the EEC Working Time Directive - Whether RM think they are above the law or not . All enforceable in a Tribunal.

They're doing it prior to the deal being voted and counted in case it's a yes, you sign that then you're okay to work the longs and shorts they've been banging on about...Like working 4 hours a day during the summer <dead periods, or so they say it's a nightmanre at the MC I am at most of the year> and 12 during the winter months, ie unpaid OT over chriggy...It's why the flexibilty thing included originally 2 hours either way as they would be within the WTD, if a lot sign it then that means they can shaft them with curtailing their hours during what they deem quiet periods and extend them during heavy...I told my manager ages ago I wasn't interested then and I certainly am not going to make it easier for them to dick me about

re opt out
understand this to mean you have the option to exceed normal hours should you wish to and is not enforcable should you wish to do just your normal hours, admin/legal measure to show the act of exceeding hours is voluntary .... if anyone feels a conspiracy theory then post comments as most who do docket will be affected.
