I cannot see that would be a problem. Being a carer is a job even if may not have been paid employment.

Documents required would be passport, driving licence, proof of address ie, utility bill but you will be given all the information if you get an interview. I would recommend you take photocopies plus originals.

I appreciate the reply but is there specific things they ask for? I mean i would have thought they ask the same from everyone? My circumstances are alot different as far as my last 5 years in employment goes, i have been a full time carer for over 10 years to my mum so i dont know how that is viewed, does it stop me trying to get a job with RM?

Just trying to get an idea of if i actually stand a chance of employment or does that sort of circumstance rule you out of the running?

Thanks again for any replys.
Sorry , i saw the title of the thread and thought you had an interview tomorrow. I didn't read it properly.

Out down carer and the rough dates, IMHO if you did it for 10 years they will see that as someone who sticks at something come what may.

You forgot official document showing your National Insurance number. The instructions actually insist on taking originals AND copies with you. Non UK passport holders have slightly different requirements. The first thing the interviewer does is to thoroughly check all your documents, and the instructions state you might not be interviewed if you don't have everything. In-any-case, best to make a good first impression! Still, everyone should plough through the 8 pages(!) of instructions on what to take, just in case you have a particular circumstance that requires something extra.
