Blocked from applying. Is this fair?

I applied for a posties position but failed to get an interview. The same branch advertised again a month later, but when I signed-in I got a ‘you already applied for this position’ message. I raised it with RM but basically they reiterated the same message. I’m guessing I’ve been blocked because the job reference number was unchanged from the month before listing. But is this normal or fair?

Pretty confident the only reason I failed to get an interview last time was because I made one error in the Aspect Checking test. I say this because I did apply successfully to the same branch last year and made it onto the waiting list ...

Maybe a new profile to negate the issue?

I've heard this suggested elswhere, but can't help thinking that surely they would still hold your profile on their systems, and easily link your different profiles through your NI number or address or name even? Anyway ... applied to a different branch successfully and had an interview that seemed to go well, so fingers crossed!

Hmm. I’m thinking the same. Knowing me i’d pass the interview then they would find out and take the offer away from me! Not worth it I’ll keep trying.
