Yes. I got one a week or two ago. I think I owe them £28 which was being taken off my wages as pence per week (can’t remember exactly how much).

Less than £50 for that year, then the tax should be written off. If you receive a letter asking for payment, call HMRC on 0300 200 3300 (or the number shown on the letter) and ask for the debt to be cancelled :nana :nana :nana

Just found my letter. I owe £22.80 due to an in year adjustment to my tax code (havent a clue). They’re reducing my tax free allowance by £167 to collect the £22.80 in equal instalments so I have it paid by 5th April 2020. Hope this helps cos I don’t have a clue what it’s about.

I think it might be due to benefits in kind because I got a phone and a tablet through the Royal Mail scheme. Or it might be something to do with a transfer of allowance where I get some of my wife’s Personal allowance because she earns less than the threshold (I think). As I said before, I really don’t have a clue about this sort of stuff.

I’ve just had an £1100 tax bill, annoying but then again back in December they for some reason gave me an £1100 refund so something obviously went wrong. Can’t complain really.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

I got a demand for £52.80 this week. I phoned not only HMRC but RM HR as well as my take on it is that I have never had any My Bundle stuff so RM should have stopped the right tax for what I earned and passed it to HMRC.
I was told by both, that it is because every 7 years we have a week 53 (as we did this year). Each year HMRC estimate our next tax year total earnings in advance, then takes off our tax free allowance, leaving what they estimate will be our tax due for the year on the balance. This total for the year is then divided by 52 as we are paid weekly and the answer is used to generate our tax code. BUT, as this is over 52 weeks, the week 53 is over and above and therefore not included in the estimate, hence the underpayment which is around £1 per week. Whether this is right or wrong I don't know but simply conveying what I was told.

If you've bought stuff with my bundle, it's because of that.
they said it was to do with benefits in kind
From 6 April 2016, a new exemption means employers will no longer have to agree a dispensation with HMRC or report expenses or benefits in kind on form P11D where the employee is entitled to tax relief for those expenses or benefits in kind. Those expenses or benefits in kind will now be exempt from income tax.

What is a benefit in kind? Benefits in kind are benefits that employees or directors receive from their company which aren't included in their salary or wages. They're also sometimes called 'perks' or 'fringe benefits'.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
