6 months contract.

Has anyone else started on a 6 month contract. When i had my interview and at my induction 2 different people told me it was more of a probation period rather then a temp contract. However my contract runs out 5th oct and nothing has been said about it be renewed ect..... just wondering what others experience of this are?

Have you discussed with your DOM? I joined a couple of years ago on a 12 month contract and raised it with the DOM after 6 months and I was then made permanent. Other posties told me that all recent new starters were made permanent but were initially put on a short term contract in our office. We havent had any newbies leave our place due to being at end of contract.

That's no guarantee it works like that at your office though but I would definitely be pro-active and try and force the issue if you can.

Im going to ask tomorrow when i go in fingers crossed it gets renewed
