I know lads in the T.A from our office who have been and have become very traumatised by what they've seen.

Very few people actually vote for the Labour Party. They might vote to keep the Tories out, but since Labour abandoned the working class, the working class seem to have abandoned them. I think only about 22% of the electorate voted Labour in 2005. That should have given them pause for thought, but it didn't. The ward and schools closures continue, the deterioration in pay and working condidtions continues and lads are still involved in two wars which have nothing to do with us. If the Tories get elected next time, the only ones to blame will be the Labour Party because of its steady march rightward. What sort of party has Allan Leighton as a member?

Bloody Hell Tommo looking at your profile puts the shizels up me :nervous you seem to know what your on about and I've a good mind to send that pic to GORDON BROWN to remind him what hes up against and remind him that R.M. lads are his bread and butter and not to forget his roots,what happened to all those great Labour polictians?Manny Shinwell,Tony Benn, Dennis Skinner,Tom Swain,Nye Bevan Ian Mikardo George Brown to name a few,and those great Union Leaders in that era too.

Heresjohnny.. I wouldnt vote for any of the mainstream partys as we all really know they are a watered down Cons party.. And just a establishment mouthpiece instead of a party of the people as the labour party was.. The people you mentioned shaped that party and the way we all took on that very same establishment.. Before We can move on and have rights in the work place and a life of a reasonable treatment the anti union laws need to be addressed... Until then FECK THE VOTE... Give the people a cause to vote for the party that legitimately gives us the footing to fight them same laws...

I've voted Labour in every single local, National and European election since 1979. Next time, I won't be. Paying millions to a parasite like :cfo and backing him against a union that has always backed Labour absolutely stinks. There are good people in the Labour party, but Brown siding with our enemy has lost the party a very loyal voter. My political levy has already been withdrawn - Brown against us & Hayes and Ward putting party considerations before Union members saw to that.

It's proper Socialist, Green or abstention now.

Apart from Thatcher in 1979, which we knew was going to lead to massive hardship for very many people, we never know what any political party will really be like until they are voted in and get their hands on power. My wife is a nurse and she works with people who are considering voting for Cameron because of the state of the NHS under Labour. That's how bad things are when health workers think the Conservatives will do more for the service than Labour, but who is to say they are wrong?
