Angard notifying of cancelled shift

How much notice are you supposed to be given by Angard that your shift has been cancelled? Three weeks ago Angard sent a text out to book in for the bank holiday week early shift.
No confirmation text from them so turned up to the Mail Centre this morning to confused managers who were not aware of any agency casuals booked, finally had a very senior manager turn up to explain to us that Angard had been informed a week ago that the shift had been cancelled.

Can't find much in the way of how much notice we're supposed to get (even though we have to give them more than 4 hours).

if you have not been notified of the shift being cancelled at all you need to lodge an official complaint with a Senior manager at Angard via email quoting your employee reference number.

I am led to believe Angard need to give at least 2 hours notice of shift cancellation to stop people travelling in.

Check your contract of employment with Angard Staffing for a rule regarding cancelling a shift/an engagement. In my contract the shifts are called "Engagements", and Angard have to give me one week's notice (seven days), if they want to cancel any of my shifts, otherwise it is a claim in County Court against them from me, for breaching my contract of employment with them. In my contract that rule is under paragraph 2.3.1.: "(Any Engagement) may be terminated on one's week's notice by either you or Angard". Simples, Siergiey!
