Hi guys
I had an interview yesterday and received an email saying I was unsuccessful
I'm bitterly dissapointed but its not the end of the world
I just want to let everyone know that the questions asked were different to the ones listed in the interview tips section so be prepared. They were similar but quite different
Good luck everyone

I made a list of all the possible interview questions I could find on this forum and thought I was pretty prepared, then a Google search the night before my interview led me to Glassdoor where I found a load more!
Talk about panic but I did ok in the end. It was clear to the interviewer that I'd done my homework and I was successful-ish in that though I didn't get the job I was interviewed for I made the waiting list.
You now have an opportunity to do more research before you try again, get someone to give you a couple of mock interviews too, that will help you no end.
Good luck, hope it all works out for you.

I'm rubbish at interviews! My mind goes faster than my mouth
I know I'm rubbish & I haven't got a job yet through an interview alone
My top tip is if u know someone who knows someone that works for RM get them 2 vouch 4 u
That's what I did & I got offered the job the day after my really poor interview
If u talk 2 ure friends trust me there'll be someone that knows someone who works for RM after all it's the 2nd largest employer in the country!
Obviously this only works if your mates think u'd be perfect 4 the job!!

On another thread on this site that I'm trying my hardest not to spam (if that's the proper use of the word?)
It got suggested that I was boasting on here about how I flunked the interview but got the job anyway through nepotism ( I've now learnt a new word)
So I'm attempting to clarify what advice I was trying 2 get across (I'll still get it wrong & manage 2 offend some1 so sorry in advance)
I just meant that some people are awesome at interviews but not necessarily the best person 4 the job but they'll be the 1 that it's offered 2
So if u r like me & have trouble with interviews u need another way 2 stand out
So if u can get someone 2 speak on your behalf surely that can help
If that's wrong 4 some reason then some1 will have 2 explain 2 me why & find me a new strategy 4 interviews!

Unsuccessful Interview Really Dissapointed
Got my interview on Thursday.
Got a few things memorised in my head about heath and safety, van checks and why I want to work for RM. Probably forget it all by then!
The Delivery office i'm going to is also a post office so bit unsure whether I walk in the front door or one round the back of the building. Guess I'll just go in the front door and ask.
I have all my documents ready (including front page of passport and paper copy of driving license). Only thing I'm not sure is if I need to bring a copy of the email confirming interview and a copy of my CV since I already added it to my online profile. A Royal mail page somewhere said to bring it though (both these things).
Now all that's left is to become speechless for an hour :)
Oh and Hello to you all of course.. :)

Hi, I was in your shoes just few months ago,the best thing to approach this interview is to be relaxed, you have nothing to lose.
I was stressed and learned all the questions from the internet but I ended up just having a nice chat with the interviewer, you don't have to answer as a robot, just be you and don't stress to much about the questions.
Good luck

Good luck in your interview.
Take everything you think you might need, better to have it and not need it.
Relax and be honest with your interviewer, if he/she asks you a question which you genuinely can’t answer from personal experience then explain why you’re finding it difficult to answer it. Things like “have you ever had to deal with a difficult customer...” etc. It may be that you’ve never had to deal with one but I bet you’ve had to deal with a difficult person at some point in your life and have managed to resolve the situation.
The sort of answers they’ll be looking for can as easily be drawn from your personal life as they can from your work life.

Unsuccessful Interview Really Dissapointed
BLoody hell. So, the interviewer wasn't on duty today, and as I left the building (20 mins before start of interview) I had a call from recruitment apologising for the mishap and that I've been rescheduled for Tuesday.
So frustrated right now. I was feeling ok on the way in aswell, no nerves or anything. Now I'm left waiting 4 more days. :/ Doesn't fill me with confidence about the level of organisation either. Might bring that up actually on Tuesday cos I am pretty cheesed off to say the least.
