One more case of name-calling - no matter if you think its mild and this thread WILL ve locked.

Name-calling is nothing more than either an attempt to either silence an opposing view or a childish attempt to discredit it. In either case, the exact opposite happens you discredit your own opinion and you allow others to dismiss your opinion (perhaps shared by others) because of your actions.

I any case it's not welcome.

There *are* anti Semitic cranks in Labour, I’ve seen them on the fringes of meetings, rallies and the like and they’re not helping Labour win power, or the Palestinians.

The way the issue is weaponised by some is appalling though, these people don’t care about anti racism, only winning back control of the party. It’s abhorrent to see such a serious issue cynically exploited.

I remember it, he’s a good orator, shame so much of what he said was guff and largely for the purposes of embarrassing the leadership, it was boring even then and yet here we are more than three years later.

Sorry, how is this Corbyn’s or the leadership’s fault? I thought the problem with Corbyn was that he wasn’t pro-EU enough.

The problem is BREXIT it is to toxic and people cannot be civil to one another bit like the guy who got convicted yesterday for calling anna soubray a NAZI it is totally wrong she is an elected MP as is all these other MP's who get abuse one got killed a while back by an actual NAZI.

Totally agree, but to frame it, as the BBC and other outlets have done, as Corbyn’s problem, is just bizarre. If Corbyn and his supporters were rabid second referendum fans there’d at least be a link here but there isn’t - De Pierio’s Brexit position has broadly been in line with the leadership’s and aside from writing an article for the S*n begging their readers to join the party to topple Corbyn in 2016 I don’t think she’s ever really done much to feature on anyone’s radar.

Same here but organisations that funded the leave side have used all kinds of tricks on people just because of their views it is not to say the other side did not do so but the money factor was more of an issue.

This thread is getting far too Orwellian nightmare for me pete , good luck with a government that no longer feels the need to have a majority to rule. All you need is a PM who can shut down parliament every time he wants to change something. That's a wonderful precedent to set.

Its also not a very good precedent to give the public a referendum where the majority vote (and it was a majority vote) wanted to leave and then watch Remain MPs twist things round and find some way of trying to keep us in the EU without being blamed. And that really is the problem with the alternative just being more talks with no real conclusion. Where do we go from here?

I suspect a lot of the "working class people" perhaps voted to leave the EU because the situation that they are facing now is already dire. They have seen a whole industry like fishing gone due to EU regulation who are now fishing in what used to be our waters. The knock on effect is quite substantial as we now import the fish that we once used to catch and export ourselves. Thats just one example and I can name countless others.

For some people they are just asking the question: What is the worst that could happen if we leave the EU?? Will house prices explode and rents double so that people will be sleeping in tents? Will we all lose our jobs and be sat in our tents all day? Will we all suddenly perish from a mass famine? Will there be people dying because of a NHS and drug shortage? Maybe we will all turn into zombies like in the Walking Dead going round killing people just for food and water?

I just don't understand why can't we just give this No Deal Brexit a chance?? Its like we are worrying about everything and nothing and yet it hasn't even happened.

One the fishing industry is dead because there is no fish left in the sea even chippy's have voluntary gave up the business because of cost and damage to the environment. What you are proposing is we all like diving of a cliff and hope the worst will not happen well it's ok if you can have private health care pay for your own security and have a jet on standby when it all goes tits up and a police force in numbers outside your front door to get you to the plane before all hell happens.

British workers will be on better wages (apparently ), well those that still have jobs, but at least those pesky foreigners will be weeded out of the country. The same foreigners that helped rebuild the nhs and britain. Are we really that rascist a country now ffs. Still at least we will be a sovereign country again.
