IT'S ABOUT TIME FOR ALL STAFF TO TURN UP AT THE PICKET LINES AND SHOW MANAGEMENT THAT WE WILL NOT BOW DOWN TO THIER DEMANDS. WE NEED A MASSIVE PUBLICITY CAMPAIGN TO LET THE PUBLIC AND OTHER PUBLIC SERVICE WORKERS KNOW THAT IF THE POSTMEN AND POSTWOMEN ARE BEAT IN THIS FIGHT THEN IT WON'T BE LONG BEFORE THEY ARE NEXT. THIS FIGHT WILL GO ON UNTIL THERE IS AN AGREEMENT ON THE TABLE THAT MEETS THE DESIRE OF ALL THE UNIFORM GRADES.

I'm spartacus in my office have been for 12 years (and safety rep) I just do my best win some, lose some and yes I've met some crap reps as well

I've also met some very good ones

I'm Brian and so is my wife. No, only joking.

I used to be a rep meself, but not for the CWU. I used to be a union member of the TGWU, and I was recruited, or should that be roped in to be a representative with another guy, and we gained recognition for our workforce.

It was marvelous (at the time), as I was able for the first time to communicate with the management as a kind of equal.

There's no way though that I could possibly, or would want to be a rep for the CWU, as it's humongous. And besides, I'm just too interested in too many other things to focus on one set of issues, but to those who give up their time -- I take my hat off to you, especially those of you who are dedicated and believe in what you are doing.

I am a rep and it may be difficult but it is damn rewarding when you win some battles. Only thing is you seem to lose more

I was a Rep, but due to my age and the fact that some of my office didn't like that fact I was voted out by a guy who's 62????? But I'm now a Branch Official So Turned out OK!!
