Does anyone know the pay rates before 12 weeks as casual mail sorter? I got given a sheet with pay rates after 12 weeks but nothing about before. Also I just got my id badge today in the post how long does it usually take from now until induction day?

Thought pay was just min wage. Not sure about induction, just depends when they get on with it. Maybe try asking angard, you may get lucky.

I got my ID badge in October 2018 and I still haven’t got a shift yet. I have had to reapply for the job again as the police check is only valid for 3 months ..... still waiting.

Be easier getting a job with MI5

Work nights at my MC, was £8.60 an hour till I’d done 12 weeks, now it’s just over 13 quid with paid breaks, so an 8 hour shift’s a decent earner, lucky if I get half a dozen shifts a month mind. Took about 6 weeks from getting my badge to getting in the door, not many seem to stick at it, zero hours isn’t ideal but if your mail centre’s fairly busy and you can hang in there until the pay rate jumps it’s alright, definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for full time work or even regular part time work (some weeks I get 3 shifts, others 1, sometimes even none) but it can work for some people.
