Hi All
Just been an unsuccessful applicant ,however I felt the interview was strong ,obviously in some areas it wasn’t
I would really like the chance to apply in future and would benefit from knowing where I went wrong
Is there such a thing a thing as a feedback session?

I too would be interested in feedback! I've replied to the email I have just received asking for some but I'm not really expecting a reply. I was told at interview that I WOULD get feedback if I was unsuccessful, so hoping to get some.
Hope you get some. I too felt like the interview went well, almost like the job was mine if I wanted it! however it appears that's not the case :( gutted!

Going by previous posts I don’t think there is a feedback system, unfortunately. I don’t know whether individual recruiters are able to comment informally at their own discretion.
All I can say is that I empathise with how galling it can be when you're sure you’ve interviewed well somewhere, but it doesn’t match the interviewer's arcane criteria, and you’re none-the-wiser as to why.

This question is asked fairly often and it is very poor of RM that you don't get any feedback, but that will prepare you for RM hierarchy's view of posties in general.

Interview feedback
I started a similar post about feedback which had no reply but I found out how to go about it.
You need to request a SAR (Subject Access Request) and the Royal Mail have a form you can fill in for this to email or post back to them. They will then send you a copy of the notes made during the interview.
I received mine today and on the first 6 questions I failed two of them scoring 2 out of 5. You need a minimum of 3 for each question to pass. I had prepared a lot before my interview and thought I gave good answers but it seems the manager thought differently.
On the second part of the interview I scored well on all but one. They down marked me for not having any experience of flexi working even though I said I had no problem with coming in early and staying on.
The last sheet of paper has all of the scores written down and a summary of how you did and whether you pass or fail the interview. Based on seeing this, from what I've read on here and what others have told me I'm actually glad I didn't get the job now as they sound like a nightmare to work for!
