Hi
I applied for a couple of jobs and I’m pretty sure that I got 100% on the online test (I recorded the screens and double checked my answers afterwards) but yet no invite to interview !!
On the 2nd attempt I answered the personality bit totally different and purposely got one question wrong on the online test in case they weed out perfect scores.
I then applied for several vacancies under a pseudonym and not once invited to interview. I applied on day 1 of the advert in case it picks the first to reach the benchmark for interview. Still no joy.
Yet again did not progress to interview.
It would be very easy to let applicants know there score and where they came in relation to other applicants.
So how do they decide who progresses to interview, do I need to be in my twenties (50 years old at the minute)
Don’t want to waste my time if I am automatically ruled out.

Is RM ageist?
I joined at the age of 46 and people older than me have joined since, the recruitment process is just like a lottery at times unfortunately. I had a lot of applications and got there in the end. Good luck for future applications

Is RM ageist?
I joined at 58 nearly 5 years ago. Wouldn't say RM discriminate against age.

Is RM ageist?
I Joined RM on 18 June, I am 60 in July, so all I can say is “No” RM does not appear to be ageist.
