If one goes missing from the locker once you bring it back what happens next?.Does the customer claim from the RM?.

re: Customer will always claim from RM

The customer would always claim from RM regardless who & or where a packet went missing.

As for an internal investigation, you say you put it back in the locker room. It needs to be scanned back in, if it has then you have proof you weren't the last to be responsible for it, if not then it might be a case of your word versus someone else's. If for example all your other packets had been scanned back in except this one then it would suggest (not proof) that the error lay in the locker room. If it was only one item then it is slightly tricker.

I am sure a union rep in here would be well placed to advise on any potential internal investigation.

Good luck

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
