Shouldn't we really have VE Day be a Bank Holiday in it's own right?

Seconded we have the fewest Holidays in Europe why not an extra day instead of shifting a day good point but probably feel good factor for the May 07/05/2020 general election just so Boris can strength his right hand!

I really don’t know what your point is?? I have the utmost respect for these people my point is swapping a Monday holiday to a Friday is no use to me or the vast majority of people celebrate in your own way if that’s what you want to do but to force a change on people who possibly plan a long weekend away is wrong!

Someone said 5 day week in 2000 as to 2020 Mon-Fri pigs will fly you will get tuesday off and 1/6 extra work each day never wish for something worse.

Is there something inherently special about 75 years other than, you know, it being a simple three quarters of 100? Were the dead not as deserving of a holiday for rememberance on the 73rd or 76th years?
