How long does it normally take for you to get put forward to driving a Royal Mail van, I know there’s a little test with the AA you do and then they rate your driving out of how much of a risk it is.

It usually takes 6 weeks before they put you in for your driving test.

It costs money and they like to be sure you are going to stay/be suitable

So top tip to speed up the process show how keen you are & let them know how much you are enjoying the job and ask them when can I drive a van and be more useful.

Top tip for when you have the test don't do like me and say ooh I never knew this was a 20 zone as I was whizzing through and glanced a sign. Also if he asks you to plan your own route like he did for me don't pick all the back roads that you know that you usually fly along like a rally driver.

Do definitely agree with everything they say and take note of it and show you have learnt and understood. Being polite, taking it seriously, implementing the tips he gave me & tipex at the very end to knock off those couple of stray points that would of nudged me into high risk helped me to pass :Very Happy
