how do I find LAT offices near me?kookoo32 wrote:The nearest LAT office to our D.O is 40 miles away. The IV postcode is massive in area. Well this will be fun.
A large percentage of my drops have multiple parcels of various sizes so I turn up early doors with multiple items smaller than a shoebox but won't go through the letterbox, P739 them and then the larger item(s) turn up later to either be carded again or actually delivered as they're home from work. So they still get a P379 but we've been up the garden path twice!!!!!!
Utter foooking madness
Make no wonder the share price hit 192.00 when we have brainboxes coming up with garbage like this.

I'm not sure if some of that list is missing as I refuse to believe that there's nothing in the whole of Scotland except 3 in the Inverness area.leolion855 wrote:https://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communi ... 62&t=84627" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;FirstPost wrote:how do I find LAT offices near me?kookoo32 wrote:The nearest LAT office to our D.O is 40 miles away. I'm sure it would be cheaper for Royal Mail to keep single daily delivery and start us all in delivery a lot later.

Judging by that list, there is only three LATs in Scotland and none in Northern Ireland? Isn't this against the whole ethos of every UK address receiving a standardised level of service?

You want to make more money RM....
-Just incentivise people to get a parcel box fitted to their homes. These parcel boxes need to start being more commonplace, it's 2019, online shopping/deliveries aren't going anywhere. Us Posties faff about writing out dockets for things that could just be plonked in a box. Probably costs us 10 minutes+ a day each.....calculate how many hours that is countrywide. Now - get on with it - start selling these parcel boxes yourselves, or partner with all delivery companies to incentivise the public to fit these things to their houses. You can sell them on your website, you can 'cheaply' leaflet every single house in the UK about these wonderful parcel boxes. The quicker you get the ball rolling on this, the quicker you can add another loop to our rounds.
-Work out a way people can 'sign for'/take acceptance of parcels/letters without being present. Maybe these Parcel Boxes can be robotic in that they sign on behalf of the customer.
-I am not sure if there is some rule written in stone that we have to attempt a delivery before a collection can take place....but if not....why not offer the option to customers of collection only....if they know they are going to be out when a delivery is likely to be attempted - why not just arrange to pick it up without the hassle of us knocking on their door.
-Sort your Stamp voiding machine out. I keep having to cross stamps out, had a ridiculous amount today. I am sure a lot of Posties won't bother doing it as they are overworked....I can imagine that the amount of post that is delivered with a reusable stamp attached is in the £millions per year.
