Current pay rates?

Post by tabact »

The idea is that if you take all the additional benefits that RM employees get such as a much higher pension, sick pay, uniform supplied then the higher hourly rate is supposed to compensate for Angard staff not getting these, like recently when our hourly rate was cut due to the breaks now being paid. In theory AWR qualified Angard staff and RM staff should get identical wages inclusive of work place benefits. How they actually calculate it is known only to Royal Mail.

The rates that were uploaded for Gatwick are higher than other parts of the country due to being in the south-east, depends where your DO is. The rates are even higher for London MCs.

Yes tabact.. I forgot that London rates are higher & would probably account for the different rate in the example I gave.
