Same old arguement blame it on mc staff.. when the vote was taken think the ratio was 3:1 in deliverys favourgand wrote:Wee used to get paid 1p an item for every door to door wee delivered then the wonderful cwu came along and with agreement with RM they agreed the £25.66 set payment you get now. Knowing that there was no way postmen/women would vote for such a bad deal they let all staff vote on it not just delivery staff.Jefferson Starfish wrote:we don't get paid for door to doors.gand wrote:It's the same as door to door payments have those payments gone up to? Because you can bet RM have increased their cost to customers. wee except this because wee have a weak union!

Don't forget to opt out of all offensive material on a 'personal belief' criteria, folks...'oop in the North West of England, RM have consigned opg's to deliver Tommy Robinson for Europe... "send them a message they won't forget" propaganda: in THREE DAYS, as well as the other right wing parties-I notice that the business embraces profit over the safety of it's workforce. Note that Tommy Cockles (or whatever he calls himself, these days) is unable to put out his own divisive propaganda in our racially sensitive areas...for same stated/obvious reason. Let's not forget he's a convicted former leader of the banned (hateful) EDL racist organisation:south London postie wrote:Is everyone getting UKIP and Brexit Party as addressed mail but not the others?
North West colleagues try CWU DIRECTIVE...Special Circumstances:
• It is jointly recognised that Royal Mail has a legal obligation to secure the delivery of election material for all nominated candidates and parties.
• Whilst it is expected that delivery will be made by the individual due to undertake the particular delivery, local management will deal sensitively and sympathetically with genuine requests to deviate from this arrangement.
• Such cases may arise as a result of personal circumstances or beliefs or where an individual believes that delivery of a particular item may incur personal risk.
• If such instances arise alternative measures will be used to secure delivery. These may include the use of volunteers from within the office or neighbouring offices to cover more than one delivery or, as a last resort, the use of supplementary resource.
• Both parties undertake to co-operate fully in the application of these principles and in resolving any difficulties that may arise surrounding the delivery of election material.

Could you find a link to this agreement as was trying to get to the bottom of this why some offices get paid 3p while others up to 6.6p per item. Surely RM gets paid the same across whole country, therefore there must be a “surplus” in offices getting paid the minimum 3p? Where are this money goes ? Correct me if my logic is wrong. Can the offices with 3p challenge this and ask for an increase?blobneb wrote:It seems that the 2005 agreement regarding election material means that we have been getting less and less money year on year for doing the same work. It's 14 years old now. 3p in 2005 was worth 4.4p in 2018. Why are we standing for this? Why are we accepting all this chaos, unpaid overtime and other rubbish??

It would be easier if they just split the total payout to Posties equally and apply it to our pay.
Yeah some posties will end up posting more than others, but it probably averages itself out over the years.
Do I get less as a part timer? Some full timer or someone else throws them off.....do they not get paid any extra for throwing them off?....or just get the 3p for the actual delivery?
Do I have to count the amount of leaflets in the frame on the morning of the delivery?
