Then there is the time for bundling, and actually travelling to the start point of the lapsing
what travel time? if its organised properly its on the way to your round anyway, Bundling up one street of letters takes what 2 minutes?

If its another like our depot the lapsing is never organised properly!!

i was told they have a budget for internal o/t and a separate one for outdoor, not sure if true
regardless, if a person walks in and all or most IPS is done then you work as normal, get out earlier if lapsing is possible you take it
the arguments start as they never look at the bigger picture, all they see is X amount of kilos came in, so we're ALL lapsing, they put their blindfolds on when a few say they have a bulk posting when most didn't and totally ignore them,
our managers never ever look at the d2d's, some may have none, some 1 and some 4, but we all get treat with the same time given to do them :arrrghhh

Not necessarily. On my walk it will take about ten minutes to get from the end of my rural to the start point for the absorption. Usually will take about forty minutes to deliver the absorption, then five minutes to get back to the DO so altogether that's about one hour.

We are going to be doing the additional summer absorption from w/c 27-05-2019 instead of just July and August this year. Anyone else doing this in their DO ?

If only, our Dom doesn't have weekly resource meetings. Then if anyone goes sick he will put a reserve on there job and cover the reserves job on flex. This way he can say he's not covering sick. This means as we cover a big area it can be up to 10 mins away

our lapsing is in the opposite direction to our round leaving the office, 20 mins each way to do 20 mins work.
Lucky if we can do it once a week

Job and knock is back in our DO! Hurrah!!!

The guys that are fortunate enough to be able to finish 1hr early each day are now allowed to finish 40 minutes early as long as they have done their lapsing.
The remaining staff who simply can't lapse as they are working to their time each and every day get seen as troublemakers/militant by the DOM.

Only a matter of time before your DO gets a nice load of hours taken out and/or all walks made longer
