New annual leave form?
Just carry the odd hours left over to the following year which will be done automatically. There are larger problems in RM both existing and yet to arrive. Its a bit irritating but you should still be able to book your four to six weeks as before without much problem. If you are booking split weeks or days, which is difficult to do anyway, then you might run into additional problems.

New annual leave form?
I wonder what happens to wallington rotations. Under the old system 6 weeks have you 36 days so you could have 6 weeks off. Now if its hours a week of would cost 36 hours on a 30 hour contract. So the entailment would be less that 36 days . As under the old system a wallington 30 hour contract duty got 36 hours more than a none wallington rotation person. Or was the leave done wrong in my unit ? I wonder.

It does work. You are paid 38 hours per week even if that week is a short. The same applies to your leave weeks. One of my weeks is 33.45 hours. I still get paid for my 38 hours because it is worked out over a 4 week average. Another week I will work 42.22 hours but will still be paid for my 38 hours. The same for leave. You will be paid for 38 hours regardless if its a long or short but can only take off the allotted hours that you will accrue over the year.worktotime wrote:this is what im saying it doesnt work with longs and shorts and because of this way of working you are losing hours and mins off your leave compared to not doing them as I still get 38 hours pay a week no matter what my day off is that week , so why should you give them 38hrs - 30mins when your on leave , its not rocket science is it ?Ren Hoëk wrote:Its hard to know what is going on with your leave unless you state what your rotation is and what the total hours of those weeks are. Start/finish times etc. But it seems as though you have booked leave which avoid wednesday and thursday as rest days. The longest days il assume and therefor the longest weeks. Which is no wonder you don't have the days off you thought you did.
You have to get out of this mentality. You do not get 26 days off. You have (x) amount of hours and minutes off. That will be determined by how many hours a year you work. For every hour you work you will accrue set amount of minutes etc Period. A 38 hour contract on a 1 in 4 will be averaged over 4 weeks. Long and short weeks. If you book all your short weeks you will end up with more full weeks off and long weeks less.thanks yes I get 26 days which is whatever in hours ,
If you have fixed days off every week then your 38 hours will be worked around those days. Thus it would just be day for a day. You wouldn't have to worry about hours but it would still be worked out that way.
Reserves and people on different days off depending on managements leisure are the ones that need to be extra careful they are not being screwed over.

If you are a reserve, with no longs or shorts then il assume you will be working 38 hours per week (If full time) with fixed days off. Then a week is a week unless you are looking to book random days. NOW! If you are a reserve with random days off and some days are longer than others (LONGS AND SHORTS) then you really need to keep an eye on how many hours you a working every week. But your holiday should still be fairly simple. Unless, like stated you are booking random days.If you have fixed days off every week then your 38 hours will be worked around those days. Thus it would just be day for a day. You wouldn't have to worry about hours but it would still be worked out that way.
But, If you never go over your 38 hours (or what ever your contract is) Per week. Then a week is a week. A day is a day as long as you are working the same amount of hours every shift.
