40 managers in today

Post by chromium05 »

I'm just come out of hospital and have been away from the office for a week now. Rang this morning to speak to DO and am told that there is no chance as there are currently 40 managers in Billericay office cutting / tipping / sorting ( all mailsort) and taking out the packets backlog.

They reckon the entire backlog is going to be cleared for FRIDAY!!!

I can only think and wince at what the guys are having to take out at the moment.....

West Norwood Monday it took 19 casuals and temps all day to prep and deliver one bag of work.

Streatham Tuesday managers on delivery complaining "why are the walks so long?"

If they can manage without forty managers that day perhaps they can manage without them everyday.

Is there any other part of the country where this is happening. I have heard of instances where 2 managers are teaming up on 1 walk and they are complaining its still taking to long. :Very Happy

Lets hope AL and AC are on these so called 3.5 hour walks soon. My guess is they will never be as the DOM will put them on the easiest walks

Our managers have been taking deliveries out recently, 4 of them for 1 walk :left:
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

They'll soon be able to write articles for Hellfail about how easy the life of a postman is.

Your Mate Nomark White has been up to his tricks again , apparently your DUM isn't a bad guy he's only taking orders as they said at Nuremborg , otherwise he'll get his P45 . Couldn't happen to nicer people .

That's not journalisim , they're just bad boring blogs , the nets full of them.

I'll put the link later as it's my day off tommorow and I've to see my good pals , Mr Cains , Mr Bass & Tim Witherspoon . :funneh :Very Happy :Very Happy

Our office crawling with managers and temps today. (3 managers took out one walk). Volunteers asked to prep and tie down in return for afternoon sorting. 2 Casuals took out my walk (never done this work before). God knows what will happen re things such as 739's, recorded's etc. Wouldn't want to be in the enquiry office Saturday morning!!

Where is the security??? How much has this cost RM?? How stupid are they?? If they had done a deal 4 weeks ago there would be no need for this kind of panic. Also, our office has been told that the backlog (which doen't exist according to the heirarchy) HAS to be cleared by Monday.

If this amount of chaos is caused by a 4 day strike - what would have happened if we'd gone out indefinitely???? We certainly wouldn't be voting on the sort of S**t that we're being offered at the moment.

Apparently the office will be crawling with same (as above) for the rest of the week. I know it's madness, you know it's madness - but to "them" it's a cunning plan.

Ours have gone there. Funny isn't it? The DUM and the cluster manager go off elsewhere to take the bread from someone elses table, and the office runs very well without them.

One of our managers was flown over this week and another one has been sent to a different office to manage( :hmmmm ) so perhaps they are just taking all the spare managers out of NI to work in Liverpool :d'oh! Maybe they can get rid of all the surplus managers now that it appears they can all go off and do posties jobs. :mad
