Angard Refuse To Pay Remaining Holiday Pay

Post by dancingqueen »

With the greatest respect this is nonsense. You have been misinformed.

I have an email from Angard saying holidays will be paid out as normal if not taken in April

Has been the same for years.

If they were going to change this policy they would have to inform us.

yes complete rubbish, it would be illegal for them to do this. They always threaten not to give shifts if you have lots of hours but that's all they can do

The rumour goes round each year regarding losing holiday pay. This year I haven't even had the usual use it or lose it email.
The following is from an email I received about booking some holiday in April. The last couple of years it has been paid out the second week of April.

"Your currently holiday balance cannot be transferred across to the new financial year. You will however be paid for any remaining hours that you currently have in April. We do not have an exact date of this at the minute, but we will advise you of this once we have this confirmed."

The rate varies dependent on Angard's complicated method of calculating holiday, I got £8.46 per hour last year on the balance. The simple check once it is paid out is to make sure any holiday pay you get or have had in the last 12 months comes to 12.07% of your gross pay (less holiday pay) for the year.

"Any holiday pay you have remaining WILL NOT be transferred over to the new financial year and your holiday balance will be reset to 0."

Nothingatthemoment

Where in the above statement does it say "Angard have stated that anyone that has remaining holiday pay at the end of the financial year WILL NOT have it paid and will have their holiday pay balance reset to 0." ?

It doesn't say you will not get paid out at all.

It says it can't be transferred over to the next financial. It does not say you won't be paid out for the holidays at all.

FAKE NEWS.

Angard have not changed their mind on anything. By law they have to pay out on any holidays by law.
