Advise needed asap

Hello all, I need a little help/Advise I've been applying for a royal mail job for a while now. And each time I have had the same email back saying I am unsuccessful or that the job has been withdrawn. I have kept applying and to my excitement today I received an email to say I have an interview with royal mail but as I applied for lots in the birmingham area the one I have an interview is 40 mins from my home. First thing I want to know will this go against me? Do i go for it and see if I get the role and in time ask for a move to a closer one or do I keep applying for ones in my area.

get your foot in the door, you have been unsuccessful in the past as posties get there foot in the door then move to the office they actually want when a place becomes free.
