I was like charlie bucket today ..... ripped open the ballot paper envelope like one
of willy wonkas chocolate bars containing the golden ticket......
And put a big X in the NO box with a warm gratifiying smile on my face ,
Then with spring in my step and the air beneath my feet i hopped and skipped to the
post box and place that wonderous letter of power into the box with a loving sigh.

Good stuff from the branch. That is exactly what you need if a coordinated YES is to be achieved! A letter to land with the ballot paper?thexxxpostman wrote:never any doubt in my mind ..how many times can i say no..fair play to the local branch (bristol) for sending out a letter explaining there reasons for rejecting the deal also..
How many other NO recommending branches did this??

Checkout Crozier
Cant believe whats happenin, just read in todays Mirror about Adam Crozier being 1st in public sector fatcat wages. He gets 1.2 million quid regardless of whether or not Royal Mail is making a profit plus a very healthy pension scheme. What the f**k does he do to earn this dough? He hires Pricewaterhousecoopers to come in and do a spring clean on where we can minimise costs, in other words he gave £68 million quid to a firm who know f**k all about our business who told him to variate our pensions and oh sack 30000 of us. Another thing, what is goin on in our union? How can they try and sell us this deal and still keep a straight face? Heard theyre were a few abstentions when they met RM to vote on the deal. Surely they were there to use their vote, just like the mandate we gave them when we voted them into their positions. Once this vote gets rejected there needs to be a spring clean within our union, resignation en masse!

The PEC (who represent our interests)??? voted only 9 to 5 to accept the deal (as I understand it) Not exactly clearcut, eh?

Big no from me too. I would have added "you know where you can stuff it", except that might invalidate my vote.
