Successful interview
I just received an email saying I was unable to be given the position as postman/postwoman wirh driving and collection as other candidates scored higher than me but my interview was successful and I would be put on a 3 month waiting list. Is this just Royal Mail being polite, or is there a good chance I’ll be given another position?

Successful interview
I would say 50-75 of new starters come from the waiting list so unlike other jobs its a good sign.
You might even get the position you applied for if the successful applicant decides the job is not for them.
Just to add I came from a waiting list.

Had my induction at Ilford yesterday, there were 13 of us new starteres and about 6 of them came from the waiting list, it is a good sign, don't give up.

Did you apply through a special waiting list link or was it just the normal way on the website ?Kirstymoo wrote:I've just been given a position after only 3 weeks on the waiting list just make sure you keep applying for anything that comes up,I'm going to be travelling further than I wanted but just thinking foot in the door,so don't give up I think most people end up on the waiting list Good luck.

I just applied on the royal mail site as normal,if yours are coming back unsuccessful because of not doing tests then email the person back that first emailed you about your first interview, that's what I did she was very helpful and like I said she called me the day after and apologised again and offered me the position.
