In addition to the Royal Mail Stamp Price changes announced today, there will also be changes to Royal Mail Business Parcels rates. These changes will impact you if you have a contract with Royal Mail.

Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed® by 1pm will increase on average by 0.9% (excluding add-ons and surcharges)
Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed® will increase on average by 5% (excluding add-ons and surcharges)
Royal Mail 24® and Royal Mail 48® Large Letters will increase on average by 6% (excluding add-ons and surcharges)
Royal Mail 24® and Royal Mail 48® Parcels will increase on average by 3.1% (excluding add-ons and surcharges)
Royal Mail 24® and Royal Mail 48® Non- barcoded Parcels (SU1, SU2) services will increase on average by 4.3% (excluding add-ons and surcharges)
Royal Mail Advertising Mail Parcels will increase by up to 5%
Royal Mail Publishing Mail Parcels will increase by up to 8%

Don’t forget that Royal Mail also increased their fuel surcharge from 3% to 4% on the 28th of January 2019 for the following services:

We need to reduce our prices especially in terms of packets & parcels. How we do that, and there are quite a few options, is open to question. It isn't a level playing field though and it is generally weighted against RM. Regulation is generally a beneficial and necessary exercise but not if only one company is affected by it.
