Is tipping (and I don't mean disposal of D2D's, folks!) a common thing from our customers, then?

Yes, you're right it was a cheap jibe. We, the common people, are the salt of the earth - though they do say too much salt is bad for you. :confused

Last year got about £45 and three home made mince pies, she made me eat one if front of her so she knew i liked them , thing is i cant stand mince pies at all , other two i put in me bag to take home only they got crushed on peddle back so gave them to dog.
Not bad then really cos only been on that round a couple of months so this year may gat more.
I do find its all pensioners or over 50s that tip and usually the poorer ones.

3 Houses set on fire

In fact I may just be the only one on there on a regular basis who works. Thing is I get on well with most of them and probably would be embarrassed if they tried to give me anything.

It depends on where you deliver to and the rappor you have!! I'm young and my round is in the richer part of town and also where elderly people live. When I first started on it they hated me some young lad, probly carrying a knife and will rob us etc etc, now though I'm the Blue eyed boy of the delivery and just got back off long term sick with old dears fussing over me!! It takes time but You treat them Right they Treat you better!!!!

I would much prefer 50p from all may customers than large amounts from a few. Although we all shut gates, whistle tunes and generally become good eggs. Don't we?
