Yes, you're right it was a cheap jibe. We, the common people, are the salt of the earth - though they do say too much salt is bad for you.majeed wrote:Oooh! at least 10 people I know off imprisoned
3 Houses set on fire
In fact I may just be the only one on there on a regular basis who works. Thing is I get on well with most of them and probably would be embarrassed if they tried to give me anything.

It depends on where you deliver to and the rappor you have!! I'm young and my round is in the richer part of town and also where elderly people live. When I first started on it they hated me some young lad, probly carrying a knife and will rob us etc etc, now though I'm the Blue eyed boy of the delivery and just got back off long term sick with old dears fussing over me!! It takes time but You treat them Right they Treat you better!!!!

I would much prefer 50p from all may customers than large amounts from a few. Although we all shut gates, whistle tunes and generally become good eggs. Don't we?

I have been relief for 4 years and never got 20% of the regulers. They are so tight they peel an Orange in their pockets!

"I once asked a girl if she was an undertaker cos i had a stiff that needed seeing too"
" I once went into a watch menders, slapped me knob on the desk and said can you put a couple of hands on that?"
