Starter check list/pay roll number

Just looking for abit of information regarding waiting on contract to come with my payroll number so I can complete start checklist for tax code and ordering uniform.

I start with the induction next Monday, I’m just a little worried about not having the tax form complete and returned in time to get my first pay as I have not had my contact yet, I even went to see my new manager yesterday where I’ll be working, worryingly he didn’t know I was starting then just knew it was at some point so could not give me my payroll number and told me not to worry about it as it should be sorted at my induction on Monday,

If anyone has had a similar experience or could shed some light on what happens I would appreciate it.

I’m at my induction on Monday too and have also not yet received my contract so can’t help you unfortunately.

Was planning on emailing them tomorrow if it doesn’t come in the post.

I was given my payroll number on the day of my induction and I received my contract about 10 days later, I waited until my contract came and sent all of my documents back together.

I tried to email the person who sent me the official offer but just got a response saying their emails rejected my email so that didn’t help.

Did you still get paid the same week even though you hadn’t sent the tax form back?

I tried emailing the person who sent me the official offer after my security check but all I got was a reply saying their email address had blocked my emails from being received.
