Ok after waiting since November I have finally been given a formal offer and a start date and I'm slightly crapping my pants!
Reading through the other posts and everyone seems to be more prepared for this than me!
What do I need to get before I start? Shoes? Gloves? Socks? Wooly Hat? Thermals etc etc?????
I am also pretty short and dumpy so am a little scared physically I wont be up to the job?
Also I took a role of 26hrs but having looked over finances (don't ask haha partners changed jobs since I interviewed) really could do with a minimum 30 hours contract, have been advised overtime is not guaranteed however it usually available, how usually is this?

dress to the condition your new dom will sort uniform out....eventually.
ot depends on the office your working at, if its a larger one its guaranteed more or less, smaller offices its rarer. DONOT offer to do any for the first 4 wks tho untill youve got your head around the job.

Brilliant thanks guys! Well I’m hoping the weather won’t be quite as Baltic as start end of February although I guess I should get used to it!
Top tip about the overtime and I’m hoping at Peterborough quite a big place the OT will be available :)
Been trying to stride it out with the dog for a min couple of miles + a day but working full time has made it tricky do much more!

I would suggest you stride out a bit more to get used to the walking. More like 4 miles an hour for 3 hrs should get you used to it! Honestly!!

I agree, try and walk as much as you possibly can. I was about to do a half marathon when I started and my legs still ached for the first few weeks and I was used to walking 5 miles a day with the dog on top of running. You will get there fitness wise but it'll probably be a more painful process so stick with it and don't give in.
All I can say with uniform is phone dimensions (the uniform people) yourself if your Do don't fill in an uniform form for you. And don't order too much cos you'll probably lose weight! I waited 7 weeks for mine as I did t know I could order it myself and in that time I wore out my own boots so had to buy a new pair.
