If, and when, you finally get pinged it's simply a case of paying the fine, and taking the points. Shouldn't go any further than that..... I know some Posties worry they'll get the sack. Been there... Done that. :cuppa

Someone in my office had to pay to go on a speed awareness course after getting flashed by a speed camera whilst driving a RM van

Not the end of the world. An indicated 38 is probably nearer 34 or 35. Depends on your area but in most that's an invitation to a speed awareness course.

He might not have been looking at you, or he might have been drying his hair! Just wait and hope for the best. Very worst scenario is £100 and 3 points.

Maissymoo, yes plenty of friends thanks. It you think that it is acceptable to be going over the speed limit by so much, then that's up to you. When you see a kid lying in a white coffin, looking like their just sleeping but will never ever wake up again.........well it kinda changed your perspective on things. :arrrghhh :evil/mad

You should be done. What if the police van that you didn't see until the last minute was a kid. They wouldn't stand a chance and you were obviously driving in a built up area of the speed limit 30. No mate you deserve to get points at least. It's not as if your one of two mph over your 24% over the limit. :so there
bit harsh wonder if you have any friends ? saying that after that post probably none on here  :thumbdown :so there :so there :so there :so there :so there :so there :so there :so there :so there
Not really harsh from Navalron, but a bit pedantic from yourself. He’s right, if you’re speeding, you should get points or at least a speed awareness course.

Whilst loads of people speed, the severity isn’t understood until it’s too late. Questioning whether he has friends is childish.
A speed limit is there for a reason. I’m no saint, I’ve been caught speeding 3 times in 30 years, rural roads, no-one else around but still speeding. I took the points for the first 2, the awareness course a few years ago. I’ve reassesed my driving speed following the course.

You can’t jusge someone for following the law.
