Can soneone please explain how the holidays work for a newbie? I have asked several colleagues but they’re very vague, I have heard that senority plays a part and that they can’t be requested until April, I’m getting very anxious about not being able to book a summer holiday yet, I normally have something booked up a year ahead but have held off because I was waiting to start this job

I’ve been very lucky, I was told to pick a week before end of March and then given a form to fill out with 4 weeks holiday on and whatever was put on had to be honoured so I have feb May July and October booked

No weeks off in summer? That doesn’t seem very fair, I’m loving the job but that could be a deal breaker for me, I’m starting to wish I’d just booked a holiday before I started because they would have had to honour it

they give everyone a sheet in jan, you pick which two weeks you would like in preference order, those who have been there longest get there first choice, newbies fit in to the weeks no one else wants.
