Interesting times...
Apologies for the long rambling post but here goes..
I`m against expelling anyone from the union for belonging to a political party. Once you go down the road of censorship it`s a slippery slope.
You can knock democracy all you like-it certainly has it`s faults-but there are plenty of people in this world who are fighting for just that.
As for immigration it`s an issue that people feel very strongly about. You only had to watch the debate on tv last night to see that. It`s now at the top of the political agenda and like it or not the BNP must take some credit for that.
Only by taking the occasional council seat did it give the politicians the kick up the arse they needed and now they are at least discussing something that previously they dare not mention. However there are those that would rather this was not the case, as Tory MP Nigel Hastilow recently discovered. As I said, democracy does have its down side. But what`s the alternative? Unfortunately power corrupts.
Before anyone accuses me of 'only cheering from the sidelines' for any political cause rather than 'having the balls to be a member of any political party' I`d just say it takes no more balls to join a political party and get your card through the post than it does to join up as a member of Gala Bingo. I`d also ask how many people in this country are members of any political party, not many. It doesn`t make their views any less valid. There`s no point in joining a political party unless you agree with the majority of the policies and I`ve yet to hear of one.
For example the BNP denied the holocaust ever happened so that in itself (regardless of any change of stance) makes the alarm bells ring straight away! I`ve heard it said many times on here that they are a 'bosses party'. I`m not so sure it`s as simple as that. There are many working class people who also have grave concerns about the state of this country and it`s policies on immigration and lay the blame firmly at the door of 10 Downing Street. These people are not all skinheaded tattooed pit bull terrier owning yobs either. I know people who fought in the second world war (as I`m sure many of you do) that are disgusted with how this country has become.
I was interested to see some time ago when some people on delivery refused to deliver BNP leaflets as they disagreed with their content. I found this interesting because the next question is of course, what else do I find offensive that I would rather not deliver? Labour Party leaflets? How about scam letters that con the elderly out of their money? You then hear of cases of, for example, a muslim shop assistant refusing to serve alcohol as it`s against their religion. Or refusing to serve a member of the armed forces. Isolated examples perhaps, but makes you think doesn`t it.

Oh Dear, Oh Dear - 'White flight' = shite. We ALL came out of The Great Rift Valley mate, its just that some of us have faded over time. Get over it and embrace your black/brown/white brothers & sisters equally.amma fairman wrote:facism is italianpcb wrote:L Tommo you are a class warrior! As for the BNP being a legitimate party you are quite right just like the British Union of Facsists were in the 30's. By the way I beleive the quickest way to divide the workers is sectarianism, racism, sexism, nationalism, alienation. Ignore the Facsists and they go away don't think so! We must root them out wherever they are and confront them. A worker is a worker no matter what colour, race, religion, sex. The BNP policies divide the workers and take our eyes of the big picture which is the likes of Crozier and Leighton taking money out of our back pocket.
nazi-ism is german
Im a british nationalist, dont get confused with the wishy washy liberal yoghurt knitting, open toe sandal wearing veggie loving lefties way of describing us patriots - the only chunts i hate , are those who have led you and your ilk, into conning us into a multi cultural, multi ethnic mish mash, which, i believe, encourages sergegation.
Take a look at the white flight from inner london for example,

as a trade unionist i try to obtain something positive for ALL members. a political activist, swp, bnp ect want something exclusive for SOME people, basically i call that greed. what is british? i do,nt mean your place of birth, i had little to do with mine as i was only a second old at the time ( in england) . what is really british? the man up the hospital contributes to my well being, he is of a different nationality to me, as is the chippy owner, the dentist , the newsagent ect ect. they are british, they contribute to our economy , lifestyle ect. there are plenty of " true british" that i hope i don,t meet in a dark alley, or come to rely on in the future for my well being. are you trying to fight for a wealthier way of life? was britain ever great? the true british were not treated very well in the 1st world war by even truer british generals were they? do true british politicians care where their wealth comes from? what are these nation savers actually going to do to "improve " this country? goodbye premier league, goodbye resteraunts , takeaways ect. goodbye staffing of hospitals, bus drivers, train drivers, postmen, hey this version of britain seems to be improving by the word! and our great british employers, using illegal immigrants because they are cheaper than " true british" workers, so that they get richer and don,t pay pensions ect. and what about the "true british" who learn trades at the taxpayers expense then up and leave to a better country, because they don,t like the one they helped to build! can someone point me in the direction of the right, or left wing country that has been very successful in making it,s inhabitants very wealthy, healthy and happy?

Re: Interesting times...
I like the sig at the bottom of your posts (the Billy Bragg thing).amma fairman wrote: strangler, i like your posts, you do talk sense,BUT- the BNP denied THE holocaust !
Sure, gtriffin did, years ago, but now admits he was totally wrong, but ive posted a clip of many WORSE HOLOCAUSTS, some up to 60 million, nearly all committed by COMMUNIST DICTATORS.
Neither griffin, nor i , nor my grandparents had anything to do with the suffering of those killed by the REAL NAZIS - I shall repeat this till im blue in the face, tarring US as nazis or facists / bigots is old hat, nobody, but nobody believes the scare stories any more, as the bnp start to push the big 3 parties in many by elections.
Many many more people are flocking to join, get involved and put their heads above the parapet.
However, the REAL FACISTS - UAF/SEARCHLIGHT AND TO SOME EXTENT, THE CWU, MUST HOLD THEIR HEADS IN SHAME FOR THE THE UNDERHAND AND ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES THEY ARE INVOLVED IN.
Back to the CWU thing and I`m getting curiouser and curiouser as to how exactly the union come upon the info regarding who is a member of whichever political party. This from an organisation that champions the cause of 'Dignity and Respect'. Perhaps I`m missing something here but doesn`t that refer to other peoples beliefs, etc other than your own?
Anyhow, do they expect you to volunteer the information on your membership or do they have 'other means' of obtaining this information
The do-gooders are quick to site human rights and to complain about a 'big brother society' when it suits them but I don`t hear any complaints from same people when the CWU is kicking out people for belonging to a political party.
Meanwhile I see the CWU campaign for agency workers rights is 'hotting up'. That`s all very nice but first things first, personally I`m still f****d off about them signing our pensions away.

They up and leave because they can afford to. I know plenty that would do precisely the same because, to quote them, "this country`s f****d".davidessex wrote:what about the "true british" who learn trades at the taxpayers expense then up and leave to a better country, because they don,t like the one they helped to build! can someone point me in the direction of the right, or left wing country that has been very successful in making it,s inhabitants very wealthy, healthy and happy?

Same old BNP rubbish, whinge and whinge about how their views aren't given a chance, but listen to other people? Not likely.
What a stereotypical quote, much heard over the years, but gladly, now seen as old hat and defunct.
Nice to see you apply your oh-so-upstanding position on avoiding sterotyping so consistently. I'm a leftie but I'm certainly not liberal, never wore a sandal in my life, not veggie, and what on earth is yoghurt-knitting when it's at home?wishy washy liberal yoghurt knitting, open toe sandal wearing veggie loving lefties

Yeah but they were the ones that f****d it. Thatcher-supporters, anti-unionists, Daily-Mail readers, scabby far-righters, pissed and moaned for years about how the left was turning Brtain into an economic basket-case. Yet now Thatcher's won, and been succeeded by 'he's one of us' Blair and 'New Labour architect' Brown, the decision is made on who should be in charge and it's management, NOW they f**k off and leave the rest of us in the s**t they participated in creating while moaning all the while that it's the liberals' faults, because they can no longer blame the left for their monumental economic f****p and the fallout it's created. They up and leave because they can afford to. I know plenty that would do precisely the same because, to quote them, "this country`s f****d".
Incidentally, where did all these people move to? France and Spain, where the left is still a presence and the unions haven't been smashed. Apparently, they aren't 'f****d'.
Bollocks to those parasites, frankly.

Why not? Just out of interest. Now that is something I don`t believe or ever have in the way modern science etc portrays it....
Being a union man all your life doesn't mean s**t if you're going to back a party which outright says it's only for pure-bloods from Anglo-Saxons, celts and other nordic tribes, you might as well say 'I'm pro-solidarity except for these people' (these people, incidentally, representing 99% of the population by genetics) which is about as far from decent unionism as it gets. Your colleague may be a good guy day to day, but he seriously needs to read their manifesto properly.
(NB// I'm not a member of any of the other political parties either, corrupt and anti-worker shite, the lot of them, but the BNP are no sort of alternative)

If I wanted to be wiping my arse with my hands and adding up on my fingers I'd be glorifying Britishness, but given we got sanitation from the Romans and mathematics from the egyptians, not to mention writing/geography/navigation from the arabs, gunpowder from the chinese, mass production from the French and proper agriculture from the scandinavians and germans, and most modern technology from the Japanese, I think I'm going to stick with being an internationalist thanks. And good, if we aren't killing each other for not being nationalist enough that's a very impressive thing, but a) it's not peculiar to Britain, b) It should be a bloody start point, not the end of the argument.
I was born in the UK, so were my parents, my grandparents and afaik all of my great grandparents, and to look at I'm classic celt, but I'm no more 'British' than my black next door neighbour or the asiatic lady who gets me my fish and chips of an evening. They live here, they work here, they contribute to society a hell of a lot more than I do in some cases, so who am I to tell them 'f**k off home' like the BNP would?
It's a pathetically black and white (pardon the pun) viewpoint they hold and one which does nothing to further what should be the real aim which is stopping ourselves from getting ripped off by rich parasites currently awarding themselves 50% pay increases and shipping out the profits we make to people who already have more than enough.

Yeah I'm sure the soldiers of World War Two would be pleased as punch to be supported by far-right people such as yourself, presumably that's why so many of them stood up at Cable Street and knocked out the BNP's forebears.
And turn your bloody caps lock off!
Well that I can agree with, which is why I'll never vote BNP, it'd be like voting for economic collapse, endemic corruption and racism. Having two of those with the three main parties is bad enough, the idea of a fat prat like Nick Griffin with his hands on the treasury makes my blood run cold.SAFE PLACE FOR US AND OUR FAMILIES TO GROW UP IN
And turn your bloody caps lock off!
