Security Checks

Hey, I was told on the 19th December that I had reached the security check stage and that it would take up to 14 days. I was wondering if anybody knew if it was pretty common for the security checks to last longer than 14 days? My application has been "In progress" this whole time and I was just wondering if there was any reason to worry with it being over the 14 day time frame.

I got onto the checks on 14th December and had an email regarding DVLA, which i replied to, on 21st December

I am guessing it is taking longer due to Xmas period

I am stalking my emails as cannot wait to hand my notice in.

Yes, it can take longer. Don’t stress too much about it.

Ive had an email today asking for a digital photo and informing me of my welcome day date and place.

Start date at my office day after: 1st feb

I got the email saying I was through to the security check stage on Christmas Eve so hopefully I shouldn’t be too much longer either. Such a nervous time waiting around isn’t it! Like your whole life is on hold. Fingers crossed you hear within the next few days.

I’m still waiting too and since I was a week after you I’ll be keeping an eye on this thread as hopefully I should be a week after you or there abouts!

Well I am confused. I had letter with welcome day etc but my profile has now changed to pre-employment checks

Perhaps I was a little premature in my celebrations but since I presently work on a Marine base and have a DBS I cant see there being a problem :D

Just updating for those that may come along later and read.

Email last night at 7pm saying my pre-employment checks are complete.
These took 1 week.

Welcome day 31st
Start day 1st Feb
