Hi all,
Absolutely desperate to be a postie. Interview this week. Job posted is a 25hour contract but I could really do with 40 every week. I know overtime cannot be guaranteed but is 15 hours a week possible? I am used to doing 42 a week so no restrictions. If I did do say 40 do I get standard rate for the extra 15 or an OT rate? Do you get a shift allowance or delivery supp? If so what are these? Does anyone do a 25 hour contract now and could me what they get take home etc?
Any info/help would be great.
Cheers Glenn

I have being doing 40 plus hours since I started, regularly get 15plus extra a week. But it is not guaranteed and if u NEED it then I’m not sure what u should do. I know we had a newbie who left after 4 weeks as he was pissed that he didn’t get enough overtime but he wasn’t flexible enough. PM me if you like

In what way was he not flexible enough that stopped him from getting docket/overtime. I'm interested, thanks.Jacko29 wrote:I have being doing 40 plus hours since I started, regularly get 15plus extra a week. But it is not guaranteed and if u NEED it then I’m not sure what u should do. He wanted 50+ hours a week as he couldnt afford to live on his 30 he contract.I think 50 hrs is achievable if you can pick up OT whenever but he had certain times he couldn’t go over due to child care I think.
